Cleansing and the 70% Rule

With so much going on in our daily lives taking care of ourselves has become almost an afterthought. While meditation and exercise are essential to total body health, one often talked about, but still neglected area is the state of our body and energy levels.

There are many quick fixes which can boost our energy levels in the short term daily, however long-term consistent energy is what we should be striving for to improve our quality of life. I heard a great message this morning talking about bodily energy and how to create more of it throughout the day. Here are the takeaways…

  1. Cleanse instead of Clog. Our bodies need to cleanse regularly to maintain an optimal state. Cleansing our liver and colon on a monthly basis will keep our body running efficiently. Amongst the benefits of liver cleansing include increases in bile production, which aids in breaking down fat more easily. The breaking down of fat will lead to increases to immune system support, boosting of natural energy levels, weight loss and restoring vitality to our skin, due to the reduction of toxins in the liver. There is a liver cleanse available that I have had a lot of success with and I would be happy to recommend.

  2. Alkaline over Acidize. Power of hydrogen (pH) levels in the body exist on a scale measuring 1 to 14, one being the most acidic and fourteen being the most alkaline. Our natural body rate should have a pH rate of 7.3 and can be measured easily on a daily basis through blood, urine or saliva, the first two being the most reliable. In order to move our body toward an alkaline state, we obviously need to consume alkaline foods and reduce the acidic foods that we eat.

  3. The 70% Rule. 70% of our foods need to be from a highly alkaline source. By moving our body to an alkaline state we are balancing all of our body systems and will decrease our risk of heart disease, acid reflux, respiratory problems as well as many other issues.

Nobody will argue that total body health is essential for a high quality of life. Through cleansing our body toxins and replenishing through the consumption of alkaline foods we put ourselves in a better position to have more natural energy and improved body function on a daily basis.
